Representative sample of some of the Students on the Sponsorship Waiting List Students still awaiting sponsorship are placed on the Starthrower Foundation waiting list. This list is offered as a guideline only, and meant to represent a sample of the large number of students and young people applying for assistance. It is impossible to keep the list current, as when there are no funds available at the start of a term to sponsor these youths, they often must move on to other areas. They can't hang about waiting for a sponsor -- they have to find work. New ones always take their place, though. Our policy is to direct funds to those who need it when they need it. * Sponsorship involves contributing towards tuition costs (about $500 USD/year) and supplies, medical, dental, food etc. See Things We Need Reminder :: The feeding and medical programs must continue when school is not in session.
