Canadian Charity Starthrower Foundation Photos Students in Haiti

More 'Starfish' from Haiti

I took these photos when I was at Lakay Fondasyon, our 'home' in Cap-Haitien, Haiti, during Spring, 2006, in order to show a 'Slice of Daily Life'. I had them developed in Haiti, and predictably, the quality is not up to standard.

The program may have to be suspended due to lack of funding. (See Updates from Haiti May 2006)

If you can help Starthrower Foundation help these children and their families, please make a donation below.

Raphael, who is blind, receiving weekly food sack. We sent him to the clinic for treatment for an eye infection. Good news :: The doctor wrote a note to say that the Cuban government would pay for surgery that would restore his vision. Bad news: To get there, he needs a passport, which costs $145 USD.

Help Us Help Them ::

The saddest and most frustrating aspect of the situation in Haiti is how little money it takes to make a huge difference in their quality of life :: All donations gratefully welcomed!
