2007 | April 21 :: U.K. Marathon Fundraiser for Haiti
April 21, 2007 :: 'Our'
United Kingdom Marathoner
Francilien writes :: "I am planning to go to Haiti [this summer] if God is willing. On April 21, I am planning to run a half-marathon, in London {UK}. The route I will take starts at the entrance Gate of Crystal Palace Park in the south east London. Run along west-- Norwood high street to the south circular to get to Brixton, follow the south circular to go pass Vauxhall Bridge and follow the Embankment in London. I will pass Chelsea Bridge and enter Battersea Bridge via the Embankment to go to Battersea Park in London and run around the park once and take the same route to come back in order to generate some funds for starthrowerfoundation in Haiti. I have talked to some friends who promise that they will sponsor me. Although, they do not fancy to take part in the run."
Francilien Paul ran in the Newcastle-Upon-Tyne Half-Marathon on October 1, 2006. As he did with his marathon in June, 2006, in Edinburgh, Scotland, where he raised funds to sponsor a Haitian child for a year, Francilien raised funds to sponsor Francois D's schooling, with the balance to cover whatever else is needed.
